How it works
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ (height (m) × height (m)). This calculator uses the WHO international classification: under 18.5 is underweight, 18.5–25 is normal, 25–30 is overweight, and 30 or above is obese.
Examples
Height 170 cm, weight 65 kg → BMI 22.5 (Normal)
Height 160 cm, weight 82 kg → BMI 32.0 (Obese)
FAQ
Is the BMI standard the same worldwide?
This calculator uses the WHO international standard. Some countries, including Korea, use slightly different cut-offs.
Is BMI accurate for very muscular people?
Not always — BMI doesn't distinguish muscle from fat, so it can overestimate body fat in muscular individuals.
